I’ve been really present this week to a fear many of us are battling; a weight on us that’s keeping us from shining our light. I’m noticing my clients coming to me with a blanket of depression; with their self sabotaging behaviors flaring back up in all of their uncomfortable glory; with a desire to crawl in a hole and relinquish their connection to the world for as long as they can get away with it. There’s a confusion between when and for how long to just feel the feelings of it, to just be with it; and how and at what point to look for and locate the light – the doorknob that leads them back to their true selves at the end of the hallway of despair, heaviness, and not enoughness. When you feel like you’ve been groping down that dark and narrow hallway for some time, it can get pretty suffocating and confusing inside there. Even when you get glimpses of light, the more days you spend in darkness the more you may lose track of light’s presence, even when there are tiny cracks of it shining through at times – it’s like we stop noticing the cracks of light when we’ve been driven crazy by the weight of the hallways of despair. This is a common feeling right now. Know that you’re not alone.
You ARE allowed to take up space. You ARE allowed to shine your light. But yes, I know, it’s easier said than done when you’ve lost track of it entirely. So what does it take to get it back? There’s a fine line between allowing what you’re feeling, and remembering and returning to your wholeness. There is a way to get there on your own, to learn to navigate the feeling in a way that gives you both the tools and the strength to bring yourself into the light. But it takes work. It takes introspection and a willingness to do the deep work that your soul is calling out to you to do.
I’m here to guide you there. I’ll give you the tools, the awareness, and the confidence in yourself to be able to navigate the hallway that leads to you to your light; to loving yourself and living your life fully.
If you’re interested in joining me in this conversation, I’m offering an 8 week program called “Finding Fullness” starting August 30th in San Diego, and October 8th if you’d like to participate online.
